Fapulous is a CSS framework that uses "Faux Absolute Positioning (FAP)" for page layouts as described in Eric Sol's ALA article
With Faux Absolute Positioning you can create very stable web page layouts. Layouts may be fix, fluid or em-based. FAP layouts are robust, search engine optimizable and easy to create/maintain.
Fapulous contains commonly used HTML/CSS constructs that can be adapted to your project's needs easily. Some constructs come with alternative styles depending on CSS class names.
Wether it is a fixed, elastic or em-based page layout, with Fapulous you can create them in minutes. Resizable font sizes in IE6, form labels aligned horizontally or vertically to the associated form elements and many more preset constructs. Use the same markup for all cases and decide later how to style them.
The Fapulous Framework has been used on several big Web2.0 web sites where performance was a key issue. All techniques are designed for fast page load and minimum rendering time.
Class names that make sense (no cryptographic names), a good inline documentation and examples in the documentation will make it easy for you to get started quickly.
All constructs are independant from each other. You can use parts of Fapulous alone or together with other CSS frameworks.
